It is a good workshop for primary and middle school
.
Flip charts were interesting, please make them available
in English.
A good way of connecting lucidly the self
concepts in history with colorful pictures.
Logical
reasoning, thinking and
pictorial representation which connects past and
present.
The way information could be brought out to
children through colorful pictures and how to
integrate
values in teaching history.
Activities, stories, group
work and group discussion. Informative and interesting,
gave a
new approach to teaching history more
interestingly.
Interesting strategy introduced to teach history, “We
are all detectives”. Activities are
interesting to teach history at junior level through
perceptive ways. And to teach how history
is related to
past.
TEACHING POETRY WORKSHOP
A workshop lead by Suniti Namjoshi Monday and Tuesday, August 9-10, 2004

What I liked about the workshop was the chance I got to write even if was within a 5-minute interval. The setting was superb, though we needed more time. Sumathi's poem Disease brought out intense feelings out of which is born writing - Srinivas
.
The best part of the workshop was Suniti's insistence on participation and activities, and her attitude that put every participant at ease and willing to cooperate. The poetry workshops were fulfilling, but the children's workshops left me unsure - am not sure if they would work in our schools and with our children.
The venue was fine - a wee bit too cold, but the warmth of the organisation, resource person and participants compensated amply. I'm not sure i liked any of my works much - have never written more than half a phrase in two minutes and three!
- Sumati Sudhakar.
KATHAI VAZHI KALVI WORKSHOP A workshop lead by Jeeva Raghunath Monday, October 11, 2004, 2.00pm - 4.00pm

The part where about thematic treatment of concepts integrating various subjects was very useful. The speaker did not waste time by repeating anything that was discussed earlier. If it is possible to go deper within the same time frame it would be better. - Vijaylakshmi
.
High Quality Workshop - Durga Muthyala, Pon Vidyashram
.
The story narrated and explained using paper folding was excellent - Mrs. Chintamani, MCTM School
.
Dramatisation, body language, voice modulation techniques were all useful. Some more interaction from the participants would have been good - Mrs. Valli, RASA.
